American Candies “Tootsie”

Candies Tootsie are very popular sweets in the USA. You can easily cook them at home. They taste great and look quite unusual.


  • Honey, 170 g
  • Cocoa powder, 45 g
  • Butter, 15 g
  • Sugar powder, 45 g
  • Vanilla sugar, 2 tsp
  • Dried milk, 150 g
  • Hot water, 1 tsp
  • A pinch of salt

You’ll also need paper and strings for candies wrapping.


Dissolve vanilla sugar in hot water.

In a cup, combine honey, cocoa and vanilla sugar and mix well.

Add melted butter. Mix again.

Sieve dried milk and knead “dough” thoroughly. Leave it for 10 minutes. Roll a layer and cut into bars.

Form candies with your hands and wrap them into paper.

Leave in fridge for 2 hours minimum.

Enjoy with tea!
