Cream Cheese Frosting

I am really in love with this dessert! It’s so creamy and rich without being overwhelmingI use it on almost all of my cupcakes.  However, it has got one downsideyou must keep this frosting refrigerateduh, dairyBut the flavor and consistency far outweigh that one downside. So, don’t miss the chance to cook it!


  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 14 Tbs. cold milk


  1. Take a large bowl and there cream together butter and cream cheese.
  2. Then add 2 cups of powdered sugar and mix on low speedAdd vanilla and 1 Tbs. milk.  Don’t mix too much and use medium speed. Add 1 cup of powdered sugar.  Go on mixing on medium speedAdd another Tbs. of milkMix on medium speedAdd remaining cup of powdered sugar.  Now you should mix on high speedAdd milk, 1 Tbs. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
  3.   Keep refrigerated.
