Fried Codfish with Onion Crust is a simple, tasty and useful dish. This recipe offers cod baked with onion and cheese.

Yield: 4 helpings
- Fillets of cod, 4 pieces (each of 200 g)
- Flour, 3 tbsp
- Lemon juice, 1 tsp
- Cheese, 80 g
- Spring onions, 2 bunches
- Salt, pepper, to taste
Salt the fillets of cod, add pepper. Sprinkle them with lemon juice and roll in flour.
Chop one bunch of spring onions and cut the other one into pieces.
Fry each of the fish fillets for 6 minutes (each side) in 2 tbsp of melted butter. After you have fried the fillets, leave them in a warm place.
Pour 1 tbsp of melted butter into the frying pan and sauté the chopped onions. Add cheese, salt and pepper, to taste.
Put fish onto the baking–dish, pour the onion mixture over and bake for 3 minutes.
Now take the pieces of onions and boil them in salted water for 4 minutes, pour out the water, sprinkle onions with 1 tbsp of melted butter.
Serve the dish and enjoy!
