- 1–1/2 cup ground nut
- 5–6 Cinnamon
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 tbsp Ghee
Dry roast the groundnuts in microwave for 1 minute. Also remove cinnamon seeds from outer cover and powder them.
If microwave is not available just dry roast the groundnuts on burner in a heavy bottomed pan. Now remove the cover from them.
Break the groundnut into halves.
Now grease the rotating pin (belan) with ghee. Also grease the surface where you will make chikki with ghee.
Now heat 1/2 tbsp of ghee in a kadhai and add sugar to this. Saute sugar till it has a sauce like consistency.
Add the cinnamon powder. Now add ground nut to this, mix well and immediately turned on the greased surface.
Now rotate flatten with the rotating pin to have a thickness of 1 inch. Cut marks to have in desired size before getting cool.
1) Dry Fruit chikki can be prepared, use dry fruits (cashew, almond and pista) in place of groundnut.
2) Dry Rose petals can be garnished to have a rose flavour.
