Pecan Lime Cheesecake

This Pecan Lime Cheesecake recipe makes use of pecans as part of the base to add nutty flavour to complement the chocolate pie crust.


  • 350 g cream cheese; softened at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup castor sugar
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon essence
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 prepared chocolate pie crust


Beat cream cheese, castor sugar, lime juice, lemon essence and salt. Add eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition. Sprinkle chopped pecans over pie crust. Pour filling over sprinkled pecans.

Bake at 170°C for 35 to 40 minutes or until cheesecake turns golden brown. Decorate with lime slices.
