Pita is a peanut and fruit dessert. This recipe provides a delicious snack for any time of the day, also can be served as a simple and healthy appetizer beside the main dish.


  • Pita bread
  • Peanut butter
  • Pear, banana, honey
  • Cinnamon or coconut powder ,optional

Slice banana and pear lengthwise as thin as possible (thinner than I did, use a razor sharp knife). Cut pita bread into your favorite shape (use a kitchen scissors, knife or pastry cutter). Spoon peanut butter on the bread and spread evenly to cover it all. Place a slice of banana or pear in the middle, drizzle honey on it. Simply roll and take a bit. If you would like to serve it as appetizer, simply fold over, the bread and pin with a toothpick. I sprinkled some sweet coconut powder on it, sometimes I add it with a pinch of cinnamon.
