Pot roast, boiled chicken

In this very easy recipe chicken is cooked with turmeric (turmeric has the key health benefits and also helps things get roasted). You’ll be also impressed by a beautiful golden color and sweet aroma of the dish.


  • 3 chicken legs
  • 1 tbs turmeric
  • salt as needed


Place the chicken pieces into the pot. Sprinkle salt and turmuric over (if needed add 1/4 cup water to provide enough water for cooking). Cover and cook for about one and a half hour. All the juice should be gone. Now turn the pices, let the other side roast. The dish is ready.

You can serve it alone or carve it in the middle of a rice dish, don’t forget to sprinkle the few drops of juice at the bottom of pot over. Enjoy!
