Tangy Orange Cheesecake

The tangy Orange Cheesecake recipe is a no bake fruit cream dessert. This cheesecake recipe calls for freshly extracted orange juice, grated orange peel and a dash of orange liqueur.

Ingredients For Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups Vanilla Wafer Crumbs
  • 4 tbsp Melted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Ground Hazelnuts; toasted

Ingredients For Orange Filling:

  • 1 sachet Gelatine Powder; unflavoured
  • 1 tsp Orange Liqueur
  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice; freshly extracted
  • 650 g Cream Cheese; softened at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Fine Sugar
  • 1 cup Whipping Cream; low fat and whipped
  • 3 tsp Grated Orange Peel


Mix together wafer crumbs, melted butter and ground hazelnuts. Press crumbs mixture onto base of 9inch springform pan and bake at 180°C for 8 to 10 minutes.

Prepare gelatine mixture as required, in orange juice. Stir gelatine mixture over low heat until completely dissolved.
Beat cream cheese until smooth and add in fine sugar. Stir in gelatine mixture and orange liqueur. With a large spoon, fold in whipped cream and lastly, orange peel.

Pour orange cheese filling onto prepared baked hazel crust. Chill for at least 5 hours until firm.
